Um... Wind Turbine... low frequency noise risk?
Mar 6th, 2010, 8:52pm

I found a flyer that was delivered a couple of months ago. About the wind turbines.

There are numerous websites
www.torontowindaction.com (local)

and another:
www.windturbinesyndrome.com

I mean are these folks for real?

This is a pretty high quality print job on the brochure!  Shocked

As far as I know, these windmills will be pretty far out in the lake, hardly visible, let alone audible.

Low frequency noise  Grin

that's a new one.

lol

I got that brochure also. It was full color, glossy, on thick paper stock, 8.5 x 11 - right?

Where were they when we were burning coal?  Grin

I for one salute our new wind-driven overlords Smiley

That's funny Leuty  Grin

I think the problem people really have is that they are worried these turbines will be an eyesore on their horizon.

They will be pretty far out from the shore, soI don't think there will be an issue.

Plus, speaking of eye sores, we all got used to the powerlines that crisscross all over our streets - didn't we?

I suspect the people who get really upset about these could also have other conspiracy theories. (I could be wrong, and no offense intended).

Speaking of conspiracy theories, does anyone know what the #$%# chemtrails are about?

Now, first I need to caution everone, you do not want to go browsing other topic at craigslist - rants and raves... but everyday there are people taking pictures of the trails left by jets flying over...

as evidence that we are being chemically bombarded to keep us dull and compliant.

Don't they know TV and the internets do that already?  Grin

Would they rather have a nuclear plant?

I don't get where some of this crap science comes from.

Wind turbines are the best solution - more efficient than solar.

Bet they all vogte conservative.

beachbum,
exactly!
imagine a giant powerplant on the bluffs  Huh

i can't peg these folks.

if they were rabid right-wingers, they'd have too many other things to focus on (like Obama) if they were leftist, enviro-fascists... well this would be the greenest power process I could think of...

anyways... i a personally thinking of going solar
